The junior high boys took to the 2 mile course following the girls race and came away with a 5th place finish in the GWOC North division. Leading the way for the boys was Anrich Vandersmit placing 10th in a time of 12:21, followed by Quintin Muhlenkamp (13th) 12:30, Jacob Hounshell (16th) 12:43, Carson Bruner (20th) 12:56, Jacob Buchy (57th) 15:14, and Paul Gibson (58th) with a time of 15:26.
The varsity races followed the junior high races with the varsity girls taking to the 3.1 mile course. The girls placed 2nd behind a tough Troy squad In the GWOC North. Leading the way for the girls was Kristen Karns finishing 4th in a personal best time of 20:20. Emily Hayes followed Karns in 8th place in a personal best of 20:49. Cheyann Beam came across the line in 9th in 21:09, followed by Zoe Steifel in 11th place with a personal best as well of 21:15. Anne Bradfield completed the scoring in a time of 21:40 to place 13th also recording a personal best. Nicole Raffel placed 15th in a time of 22:02 and Elizabeth Conway placed 23rd in a personal best time of 23:01 to round out the varsity team.
The varsity boys lined it up folowing the girls race and finished 3rd overall in the GWOC North. Running first on the team was freshman Jacob Butsch finishing 12th in the division in a time of 17:27. Behind Butsch was Caleb Oda in 16th at 17:42, Bailey Hartle 18th in 17:46, Lucas McCabe 20th in 17:52, Calen Bruner 21st in 18:10, Cylas Conway 23rd in 18:43, and Connor Menning finished 24th with a time of 18:51. Butsch, Oda, Hartle, McCabe, Conway, and Menning all recorded their personal best times.
A big congrats goes out to all Cross Country athletes for all of your accomplishments this season.
