Harless and Beasecker Awarded Adam Marchal Memorial Scholarship

Beasecker Awarded “Adam Marchal Memorial Scholarship”

Caleb Beasecker, a 2012 graduate of Greenville High School, has been awarded the ninth annual Adam Marchal Memorial Scholarship valued at $500.00.

It was Adam’s desire to offer a scholarship to either a Greenville High School senior boys’ track team member or a student council member in order to assist a deserving, worthy student in the attainment of his or her education and training in a curriculum toward a college degree or post high school technical school certificate.

Beasecker, son of Mike and Lisa Beasecker, was a four-year member of the boys’ track team, excelling in the discus and shot put events. He was class president for two years, and a two year member of National Honor Society. He participated in student council, Varsity G, basketball (captain one year), football, golf and Spanish Club. In addition, he was active in his church, helped with Special Olympics and the March of Dimes. Caleb demonstrated a positive attitude and good character in all his endeavors. He was a leader both in and out of the classroom, and demonstrated a desire to improve the quality of life in the Greenville/Darke County community by his participation in multiple community projects.

Caleb plans to further his education at The Ohio State University, majoring in business.

Timothy Harless, a 2012 graduate of Greenville High School, has been awarded the ninth annual Adam Marchal Memorial Scholarship valued at $500.00.

It was Adam’s desire to offer a scholarship to either a Greenville High School senior boys’ track team member or a student council member in order to assist a deserving, worthy student in the attainment of his or her education and training in a curriculum toward a college degree or post high school technical school certificate.

Harless, son of Pat Harless, was a four-year member of the boys’ track team, excelling in running events and captain his senior year. He was a four year scholar athlete, and a two year member of the National Tech Honor Society. He participated in football and wrestling (captain of both), Business Professionals of America, marching band, and PSEOP College for two years. In addition, he was active in his church, helped with Ohio Highway Cleanup and various volunteer community projects. Timothy demonstrated a positive attitude and good character in all his endeavors. He was a leader both in and out of the classroom, and demonstrated a desire to improve the quality of life in the Greenville/Darke County community by his participation in multiple community projects.

Timothy plans to further his education at Sinclair Community College with a transfer to the University of Dayton, majoring in Computer Information Systems/Computer Forensics.
