Cast for Seussical the Musical Announced

The cast for the Children’s Theatre Club’s premier production of the Seussical the Musical has been announced. Seussical combines ten of the favorite stories of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss into a musical adventure that follows Horton the Elephant as he tries to save the people of Who, all the while sitting on Mayzie La Bird’s egg. Along the way Horton encounters many classic Dr. Seuss’ characters such as; Gertrude McFuzz, Sour Kangaroo, the Wickersham Brothers, Thing One and Thing Two, JoJo, the Mayor of Who, Yertle the Turtle and of course the Cat in the Hat.

The cast includes; Tacy Miller as the Cat, Tristan Delk as Horton, Chelsea Randall as JoJo, Carleigh Cox as Gertrude, Chole Cox as Mayzie, Sara Rice as the Mayor of Who, Hanna Rice as the Sour Kangaroo, Krysten Ross as Yertle the Turtle, Tanner Delk and Shane Barga as the Wickersham Brothers, Bradley and Hayden Stewart as Thing One and Thing Two, Issabella Hartzell as Dr. Dake’s Nurse and Hosanna Layman as the Elephant Bird.

The show is directed by Michael Bitner with choreography by Hillary Holzapfel, Music Direction by Mary Blanche Hengstler and Alex Hartzel as Stage Manager.

The cast will be performing songs from the show on Saturday July 28th starting at noon at the Gathering at Garst. You can also hear cast members read favorite Dr. Seuss stories at The Coffee Pot on Monday July 16th and 23rd starting at 7:00pm.

Seussical the Musical is made possible by the community support of Greenville National Bank, Shawnee Prairie and Countryside Bike Shop. A two fundraising raffles are also being held for a beautiful hand crafted Doll house on display at Montage CafĂ© and a Low Rider Bicycle on display at Countryside Bike shop.
