Rismiller Retires from Second National Bank

Wagner promoted to Vice President

GREENVILLE, Ohio – After 40 years of dedicated service to Second National Bank and its customers, Vice President of Mortgage Lending, Gene Rismiller, retired on August 4. Rismiller’s career at Second National began in 1972 upon graduation from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Under his leadership and outstanding service to customers and real estate agents, Second National’s mortgage loan portfolio grew to record highs. He also assisted many businesses and farmers with financing for their business enterprises.

“We are very fortunate to have had Gene as an officer of Second National Bank. Gene was dedicated to helping our customers succeed and truly embraced our brand promise of providing extraordinary attention, confidence and ease in every relationship. We wish him well on his retirement and are grateful for his leadership that spanned four decades,” said Second National President John Swallow.

Brian Wagner, experienced lender and most recently manager of Second National’s Versailles office, was recently promoted to vice president and will assume leadership responsibilities for Mortgage Lending. Wagner earned a bachelor’s degree from Ohio Northern University and joined Second National as a loan officer in 1996.

His has completed many special training courses in banking and financial services including the Ohio Banking Association’s School of Advanced Real Estate Training and the Blythe School of Banking. Active in the community, Wagner is president of the Versailles Lions Club, board member and president of the Versailles Area Chamber of Commerce, and involved with Versailles youth baseball and wrestling programs. Wagner and his wife Amy have two sons and live in Versailles.
