On June 1st, 2013, the Greenville VFW Post # 7262 held their first annual golf outing at Turtle Creek Golf Course. The event coordinators were Jodie Klosterman and Debbie Oliver. The proceeds from this event will fund a trip for local veterans to Washington D.C. The trip is scheduled for July 18 – 20, 2013. Due to the generosity of our sponsors and participants, enough money was raised to send eleven (11) members of the Darke County “Honor Guard” on this trip at no expense to them. Everyone involved would like to thank the Darke County “Honor Guard” for all they do in support of our veterans and their families.

We would like to thank all of the businesses and private investors who sponsored holes, as well as the sponsors who donated items to be raffled. Special thanks go to: C@G Distributing; Bonbright Distributors, T&M Merchandising; Ohio Lottery; White Springs Golf Course, Turtle Creek Golf Course; Beechwood Golf Course; Stillwater Valley Golf Course; Union City Golf Course; Caddy Shack and Kent Hart of UPS Store.

Another golf outing is being scheduled for 2014 and we hope that all who made this event a success will join us again next year.
