YMCA GYMNASTICS
YMCA of Darke County’s 2013-2014 gymnastics team has 3 meets completed now and all the girls are excelling in each of their skills. With each meet, they are getting better and stronger while increasing their individual scores. They look forward to what the next meet will bring to each them.
Our level 3’s are experiencing the fun of being at the meets and are learning from the other gymnasts. The level 4’s are enjoying the new music and new skills and are having fun while learning them. With level 5’s through the Excel level, the girls are enjoying new routines, new music and reaching new heights with each meet they compete. Some of the girls have already qualified for the 2014 National Championships which will be held in Tampa, Florida next summer.
Our coaching staff has helped to train the girls not only in the physical side of the gymnastics; but also in the aspect of being on a united team. We thank the coaches for being there to teach the girls to not only support their own level but all the levels.
With all of the new routines and new music the girls have had to learn, they have great attitudes. This year the team has so much team spirit and support for each other, it is a privilege to be a part of it and see them grow each and every day. All of the different levels are having fun polishing their current skills and starting to learn the next level of skills.
We look forward to a prosperous and safe year for all of the girls; growing spirit, mind, and body.
